Ashantigold centre back Yusif Mubarak has revealed that they (AshGold Players) will continue to have their personal training despite football still on hold in Ghana.
President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo suspended all sporting activities six month ago due to Coronavirus pandemic, stakeholders in football was confident of hearing some good news during the President’s 15th address to the nation but that did not happen though restrictions on other activities have been eased in the past.
Speaking on the situation in an interview with Kumasi-Based radio station, the 23-year-old says his teammates are doing personal training awaiting football to return
“Our coach gave us a training program to do to maintain our fitness when we were going on the COVID-19 break. I always have my personal training which I’m sure my teammates are doing the same” Mubarak told OTEC FM
“A player who is ready to compete with his club in Africa needs to work harder to improve his fitness. We will continue to do our personal training until we hear from the Gov’t” He added
Ashgold will represent Ghana on Africa club competition next season.
