It’s never nice when any footballer gets a serious injury, especially when they’re a young player and the injury will leave them to miss important club games and national team call-ups. That’s exactly what unfortunately happened to Osei Owusu last season.
The Ghanaian midfielder suffered a nasty injury when her club Renegades took on Bruised in an indoor league game at the USA.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder scored two goals for her side before the break but thirteen minutes into the second half, Veronica dribbled an opponent and misstepped on the ball and landed wrongly on the turf.
Osei Owusu, 24, had successful ankle surgery at Grady memorial hospital on 1st July 2020 as doctors predicted that she will return to the pitch 4-months time.
After spending a month in a wheelchair with Post-surgical ankle boot, Osei Owusu is seen in a video walking again with aircast ankle brace.
The former Ashtown ladies star who left Ghana in 2013 for America got herself enrolled in the college and graduated last year April and now full time soccer player.
