Just, moments after GFA declaring that 2019/20 Football Season is truncated following the deadly Coronavirus downturn; Pundits, analyst and many have taken a deep scrutiny with advises and measures that will help the transformation of football in the country.
With this development, influential and controversial figure in the game, J. E Sarpong has add his voice to the call for the betterment of Ghana football.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on West FM, monitored by Halftimegh.com, Coach Sarpong has advised stakeholders of the FA to take advantage over this period to well structured it season to equate that of the Europeans calendar henceforth.
“The FA must use this opportunity to plan proper ahead of next season (2020/2021) and also synchronize with the European football calander so we can get our players on time during national assignment”
“The FA should arrange everything in order to make football attractive. They should consider venues, players salaries, security at stadium” he urged.
He thus opined that; “Our grassroots as well as women’s football should be strengthen” thereby emphasized on officiating, and appealed to the FA to assist officiating officials with refereeing gadgets that will smoothly their roles as well as a possible introduction of the Video Assistant Referee(VAR).
