Ashanti regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has disclosed he is ready to venture into football administration
The Business mogul conceded that he will one day considered investing his monies into Ghana football and went on to say football in the country will prosper only if top positions are offered to Rich men with swag.
“I am ready to hugely invest in football, am a businessman and ready to do more for our football.”- Wontumi Told Wontumi Tv
“If am to become the CEO of a club, I will make sure i buy quality players with skills and intelligence but not below 6.4 feet” he said.
When quizzed if he is ready now since he has no experience in football administration
“Silvio Berlusconi never played football but he was able to win a lot of titles for AC Milan.It’s about time we give our football clubs to men with affluence, charisma and swag like myself, Dr Ofori Sarpong, Kennedy Agyapong and Dr Osei Kwame Despite to run. These people will make our football attractive again.”he concluded.
Wontumi discussed how he came close to buying Kessben Fc before Moses Armah Parker bought it to become Medeama saying his position at his political party prevented him from acquiring it.
