Seven players from Black Princesses (U-20 women’s national team) and Black Maidens (U-17 women’s national team) have tested positive of deadly coronavirus.
The positive cases were discovered after the squad in both national teams went through COVID-19 test last week
The seven players have since been isolated to undergo mandatory 14-days quarantine.
Though CAF has postponed the qualifiers matches of U-20 women matches which were scheduled to take September and October, GFA communication director has confirmed that the remaining players will continue to be in camp at cape coast.
The Black Princesses are preparing to play Guinea-Bissau in a 2021 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
