Ghana Premier League giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko has parted ways with striker Willian Opoku-Mensah after both parties failed to reach a contract extension agreement.
The 25-year-old signed a one year contract with the Porcupine Warriors at the start of last season.
The contract between Asante Kotoko and Opoku Mensah expired on 13th January 2021.
Management and Opoku Mensah’s representatives have been negotiating on the possible extension of the player’s contract. But a source close to this portal can confirm that the player won’t play for Kotoko again and is free to join any club
The former Karela United captain failed to replicate his form from his former club which saw him move outside the country in 2018.
He scored only one goal for Kotoko in his one-year at the club.
