Accra Hearts of Oak, despite being pushed hard to put a ball into the net, failed to do so as the game at half-time ended 0-0 in Accra.
The Phobians kicked off the game on a high note, launching strong attacks on their opponents but failing to score from the few opportunities they had.
Samuel Inkoom got a great opportunity to put the host in the lead, but his drill went wide. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh was marked out of the game by the Real Bamako defenders as his chances were blocked, forcing the game to end at halftime with the Phobians not scoring.
The Scorpions played very well and held on to their lines to protect their 3-0 victory in the first leg. They had just a chance to increase the tally to four on aggregate but failed to score.
Coach David Ocloo made a few substitutions in the second half for Accra Hearts of Oak to find their feet in the game, but his arsenal could not make the magic happen.
Salifu Ibrahim was superb since his introduction into the game after recess, but his contributions to the strikers couldn’t yield results from open play.
