Former Brekum Chelsea and Black Stars left back Lee Addy has expressed his enormous appreciation to the footballing Association for their collaboration with the government of Ghana to aid some stranded Ethiopian base Ghanaian footballers.
The defender who fronted the 18 out of the 22 players who got aided through the Ministry of youth and sports, Ministry of foreign Affairs and the Ghana football association, has exhibited a demeanour of appreciation for coming to their plight.
“We paid for our ticket cost but the government played a major role in terms of organization. We the senior players paid for some of the players who couldn’t afford the cost”
“We are pleased of what the government and the GFA have done for us, in fact, we didn’t expect them for helping us this way” he told Otec FM.
The ex Brekum Chelsea player further explained the in-depth on how three fellows were left behind.
“Three (3) players were left behind because they needed to negotiate with their clubs for contract renewal. We came straight to Prampram with some students who were also stranded in Addis Ababa and South Africa.
