The President of Kum Apem group, a vibrant supporters wing of Asante Kotoko sporting club has rebuked fellow supporters over their poor financial contribution to the club.
Management called on the teeming supporters to show their support financially towards the club a few weeks ago, through a vote to choose Jersey and virtual seat challenge.
Management has today published the amount they accrued through the exercise
However, “Big Joe” who is the President of Kum Apem Group has expressed his dissatisfaction over the amount and has charged supporters to do more
In a long statement, Big Joe has set a target for the supporters in the next three games
Below is the full statement:
Fellow Asante Kotoko supporters… I greet you all.
We have over 30,000 keypad fans on this space called social media. All we have done over the period is to point out the flaws of the BoD, the Management, the Media, the Players and the Technical team. We were challenged to pay just ₵20 per fan and for over 3 months, we could only raise ₵30,000 in Ghana. What it means is that we paid ₵1 per member for the last 3 months. We have copied and pasted, recorded and shared all kinds of audios on our various pages. It is time for us to wake up and be counted as true supporters of our dear club.
We have 3 games left before the closure of the first round. We at Kum Apɛm group feel embarrassed that all WhatsApp pages could raise in 3 months was 30,000. We have fore decided that, on behalf of all of us on social media, we shall pay our gate fees to the club for the remaining 3 matches. We pray and hope that this plea shall touch many hearts so we can raise some ₵200,0000 for Asante Kotoko SC in the remaining 3 games.
Yours in Asante Kotoko
BIG JOE.
President – Kum Apem Group
