After dissolving the management team, Asante Kotoko Board of Directors are out searching for new personalities to form new management team.
Its been reported that, two former GFA Presidential hopefuls, Nana Yaw Amponsah and George Afriyie are in the radar of Kotoko to lead the management
Following such reports, George, came out with a released distancing himself from a possible appointment, making the road clear for Nana Yaw.
Since it became clear that Nana Yaw is likely to be appointed by the board, a section of kotoko supporters have expressed their displeasure, saying Nana Yaw is a supporter of their bitters Hearts of oak and that they wont allow allow a supporter of their rivals to lead their club.
But speaking to the matter New Edubiase president, Abdul Salam Yakubu has said, The former FIFA intermediary is the best man for the CEO position and should be giving all the support
“Nana Yaw Amponsah is brother with so many competence. He will easily do the Kotoko CEO job and succeed if given the nod”, Abdul salam told Light fm
“Kotoko is a big brand which deserves a person who understands the football philosophy where sponsorships can be attained easily. Having the great King Otumfuo and Dr Kwame Kyei on your side is 100% beneficial. He will simply do the work if given the opportunity.”he concluded.
