Former Hearts of Oak midfielder, Kofi Abanga has said he took the best decision to join the Phobians ahead of Asante Kotoko in 2007 from Aduana stars.
The enterprising midfielder became a subject of a transfer tug-of-war between two Ghana premier league giants Hearts and Kotoko where for three-month the buzzing of the media space was hijacked by Abanga.
He finally chose the Accra-based team and looking back on whether he made the right decision or not
“I took a very good decision at the time by choosing Hearts over Kotoko. Hearts gave me everything in football and its good I joined and not Kotoko”- Abanga told Ahomka Fm.
Abanga would go on to spend seven years with the Phobians, winning the Ghana Premier League in the 2008-2009 season, GHALCA Top 4 twice, the Homowo Cup and the President’s Cup.
