King Faisal Babes were held to a draw at home to Dreams football club in 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League matchday seven fixture at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman.
King Faisal hosted Dreams after the Ghana League return from the Christmas break with the hope of winning their second league game and first under new head coach Andy-Sinason Evans.
The host started on the front foot and created few decent chances but failed to take them in the early minutes of the game.
Their pressure paid off a minute after the half-hour mark when Kwame Frimpong dribbled through a couple of Dreams to defenders to set himself one-on-one against Solomon Agbesi and cooly placed the ball to the left-top corner leaving Solomon no chance to make a save.
Coach Andy-Sinason boys continued to create big chances but failed to take them but went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
The second half started like the first, as Dreams, were playing second fiddle to the host, the biggest of the chance came when Dreams goalie Agbesi gave a pass to King Faisal attacker at the edge of his box but he failed to punish Dreams after shooting wide.
After a few changes by Coach Karim Zito, Dreams came into the game stronger and got a deserving equalizer after Yakubu Wadudu directed a shot from Dreams player victor Oduro into his net to put the score at 1-1.
The drama didn’t end there as the centre man shown King Faisal keeper Kaisan Yuisu red card for that seem to be an off the ball incident.
The next 20 minutes was all about the scrappiness from both sides.
The results mean King Faisal are still in the relegation zone with 5 points after 7 games
While Dreams are 15th with 6 points from 7 games
