Robeisy Ramirez has reacted to his April 1st bout against Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe after Top Rank sealed a venue for a much-anticipated world interim featherweight title challenge
The Cuban boxer will lock horns against the former champion Dogboe at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa on April 1st, 2023.
In June 2022, the two-time Olympic gold medalist defeated Abrahim Nova in a technical knockout in the fifth round, his last bout.
“I’ve been boxing for more than 20 years and have been a fighter, every step of the way. On April 1, I will enter the ring with the hunger that has brought me here and the hunger that comes with knowing there’s still much to achieve. This is just the beginning!” he posted on his Twitter handle after the venue for the bout was confirmed.
Ramirez will need to do more if he wants to be world champion and defeat the experienced former WBO junior featherweight champion Isaac Dogboe
The bout is scheduled on 1 April 2023, in the main event of an ESPN+ broadcast event, which will take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Ramirez has lost only one fight in twelve after turning pro against Dogboe who has fought 26, with only 2 losses all to Emmanuel Navarrete
