Johnson Smith, the stopgap coach of Ghana Premier league giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko has revealed the secret to his side win against Dreams football club.
The Porcupine Warriors recorded their first away win of 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season after beating Dreams FC at the theatre of Dreams at Dawu on Sunday afternoon.
The game started with the host causing a lot of problems to Kotoko backline but a sweet counter-attack which was cleared by Dreams fell in the way of Imoro Ibrahim who connected the ball with a spectacular volley into the top right corner to put his side into 1-0 lead in the 20th minute.
Kotoko manage to hold on to their 1-0 lead till the centre referee ended the game
Smith who sat on the bench following the sacking of Maxwell Konadu explained what accounted for their sweet victory
“‘I put in pressure, to pressurised them to pressure and win.
“Any goal counts so if you win 1-0, it’s counts.”- He told Eli Kandor
The former Karela united coach will lead Kotoko to play a crucial champions league first leg game against Sudanese side Al Hilal at the Accra Sports on Wednesday,
