On 10th January 2019, Ibrahim Larry Sumaila became the 5th signing of Kim Grant after completing a tranfer to hearts of oak from Greek giant PAOK on a 4-year-deal
The unvailing ceremony was brief but was all joy as young Larry finally saw his childhood dream of playing for hearts happening in his face
The 22-year-old who can play anywhere across the back four was expected to give coach Kim Grant an option in all the various defensive positions.
Larry joined his team-mates with alot of hopes, the team embarked on a very long preseason because Ghana football was going through normalization process so the date for the return of the league was in dark.
A date was set by the Kurt Okraku led administration for the league to commence
Few months to the start of the league, tension begins to build, each passing sec saw a rise of anxiety around hearts team
With supporters raising questions upon questions each day.
The situation at the club was treated as cow dung, all was not well and nobody was bold to call for ceasefire.

Larry started the game from the right back, hearts dominated but lost by a goal to nil.
Supporters were not happy, the future of Kim Grant was all but confirmed after the game.

Odoom first game was against inform Medeama at Tarkwa, as expected hearts was taken to the cleaners and lost by 3-0
Larry, was not even included in the match day squad.
Hearts following game was against Ebusua Dwarfs who were also struggling, hearts won the game, yet again Larry was missing on the team sheet.
Larry situation become serious, at some point he was reported to have been put on transfer, all what was left was the second transfer window to open so he can leave.
But, the day finally arrived, where Odoom picked Larry in the team to face free scoring side inter Allies in Match day 13 league game.
Though the match ended in a 1-1 all, Larry was one of the best performers on the day, with his energy, commitment, concentration and ability to surge forward and back, he was all over the place.
His performance against Allies got reward as he kept his place in the team that faced great Olympics, Larry was adjudged the man of match in that game which hearts won 4-0.
Two starts and Larry was on the lips of all supporters, he became the new revelations for hearts of oak with his impressive performance.
Larry proved that he is hearts of oak player not Kim Grant player as it was seemed.
Until the league got suspended, Larry made the right back position his, and nothing showed he was going to give it up.
Someone who was reported to have been placed on transfer recently revealed that he wants to emulate club’s legend Amankwa Mireku.
