Richard Atta, the shot-stopper for Hearts of Oak, pleaded with fans to forgive them for their poor showing in the Africa campaign.
Following their humiliation against Wydad Club, the GPL winners were demoted to the CAF Confederation Cup.
Another lashing was given to the Phobians. On aggregate, they were defeated by Algeria’s Saroua 4:0, 4:2.
After the game, the safest pair of hands took to Facebook and wrote:
“We have made terrible mistakes that have hurt the fans that cared about us the most and we are terribly sorry.
We are deeply ashamed of our terrible performance and our actions. Please and please, we are deeply sorry.” He concluded.
After being omitted from the Africa tournament, Samuel Boadu and his team must concentrate on the Ghana Premiership.
