Former Asante Kotoko Striker, George Abege, has insisted that, his time with the Kumasi-based club can not be considered as a flop
The Ugandan signed a 3-year-deal with Kotoko for $2500 from Kenya top-flight side Kariobangi Sharks in 2019, but just after 6-month, The lanky striker left the club on mutual consent.
Many have described the transfer as one of the worst deals in recent history, however, reacting to such insinuations, Abege, who is unattached now said, he disagrees with people who say he was a flop at kotoko
“A failure is determined on how somebody want to see it, if you say am a failure I don’t have a problem, but for me I think I did my part as a player”- Abege Told Wontumi Tv
“My time at kotoko was a big challenge for me no doubt about that but I won’t say I failed.
“I will thank Kotoko for the opportunity they gave me and I feel honored, But what I know is, I did my possible best.” He ended.
Abege, played less than 90 minutes of competitive football for Kotoko in 6 month with the club.
