Former Asante Kotoko goalie, George Owu has advised Felix Annan to train and pray harder to force himself in Maxwell Konadu’s plans for the upcoming season.
The embattled shot-stopper lost his place in the Kotoko team to teammate Kwame Baah in the 2019/20 league season.
It all happened when Annan sought permission to absent himself from the team to prepare for his wedding after Match Week 3.
Upon his return, he has had to warm the bench as Baah was likedto him by coach Konadu.
Baah however, kept the post in ten league games and helped the Porcupines to 5 wins, 1 defeat and 4 draws before the revocation of the season due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
There has been other twist as Kotoko has added Black stars goalie Razak Abalora to their already established goalkeeping department and a lot of people have shared their diverse opinion on the issue with some asking the 25-year-old to leave the club to save his career.
However, former club goalkeeper thinks otherwise:
“He needs to train and pray harder so that he can be able to come back to his position. It’s all about hard work and determination, I believe the coach will use him if he abides by my advice” Owu told OTEC FM
“It is his own decision to stay and fight for his place or leave” He added
Annan is part of the 23 players who are currently at Koforidua preparing for the upcoming season.
Kotoko will host Techiman Eleven wonders in their first match of Ghana league later this month.
