Former Asante Kotoko management member Nana Kwame Dankwah has disclosed during their time, they had series of meetings with club consult to find a solution after identifying issues with a deal they signed earlier without ruling out a possibility oftermination of the contract.
On 2nd November 2018,Asante Kotoko announced that they’ve secured a three-year kit sponsorship deal with Portuguese sportswear manufacturer, Strike.
With just one year left on the deal, Nana Yaw Amponsah led management announced this week that, they’ve terminated the deal with immediate effect citing that, the deal was not in the interest of the club.
Reacting to the news, Nana Kwame said the discussion to terminate the contract started before the new management resume office
”Our era is over and the new management feels to end the contract after studying the contract. I don’t want to go into it so much, but there were issues with the strike deal when we were in office which we had several meetings to find solutions” – Nana kwame dankwah told Otec FM
Club consult has not made any official statement on the issue but Halftimegh.com can revealthat the Ghana-based company will seek legal redress in the coming days.
