Ghanaian International Dauda Mohammed continued his impressive performance from the weekened with a goal and assist against AG Horsens in a thrilling match which ended in a draw.
Dauda scored in the twelve minute to put the away side in a deserving lead and took a knee during the celebration in apparent support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
The former Asante Kotoko striker knee down and raised his right fist into the air after scoring Esbjerg first goal.
Dauda’s gesture made him one of the few players in the Danish league to make public their support for the movement which has protested police brutality after George Floyd’s death in the United States.
The 22-year-old went on to provide assist for his team Joni Kauko to score to make it 2-2 after the home side turned the scoreline from a 1-0 to 2-1 in their favor berore the hour mark.
Dauda was replaced by Pyry Soiri on the 87th minute of the game.
The on-loan Anderlecht striker has now scored four goals in 21 matches for Esbjerg FB this season.
