Hearts of oak sporting clubhas been dealt a huge blow after the departure of two important first-team players in Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi to Dreams football club and Muaither Sports respectively.
The Phobians are yet to replace them however during the break the Accra-based club made about six new additions
Here Halftimgh.com looks at how Odoom’s side could line-up once the new Ghana Premier League starts on November 13
Right-back Sumaila Larry should continue to be selected by Odoomfollowing a staggering performance after he disputed Captain,Fatawu Mohammed, from the team in the 2019/2020 truncated league.
In the truncated league Hearts conceded 12 goals in 14 matches which is not good for a club that wants to win a league on the back of this, We expect experienced Nuru Sulley,a former player, to walk straight into the team and we will pair him with Mohammed Alhassan, who was not all that convincing in the league but we Still think he is better than Robert Addo Sowah.
Left-back Randy Ovouka will keep up his place in the team after impressive outings for the phobians during the truncated league.
In goal post, Richard Attah has shown no sign to relinquished the post back to Richmond Ayi who was the first choice goalie for the Phobians when the 20219/20 season started.
Odoom has indicated in the past that he loves to deploy three-man midfield with one of them being a defensive midfielder
Hearts suffered in the first three matches during the 2019/20 league season losing at home to Berekum Chelsea, and Suffered a humiliation defeat to Medeama SC but the moment Frederick Ansah-Botwe and Emmanuel Nettey joined the team, everything fell into place and the phobians were a delight to watch, although there is a new arrival in Mamane Lawali we will go for that three midfield combo of Benjamin Afutu, Emmanuel Nettey and Fredrick Ansah-Botwe.
The attack was Kofi Kordzi, Joseph Esso and Afriyie Bannier during the truncated league, with the first two no longer with the club, we believe Odoom has enough talent to replace them
We think the front three will be
Explosive Afriyie Bannier at the left side of the attack, though itwas difficult to choose between Eric Disan and Michelle Sarpong but we finally went for the former because of the injury history of Sarpong, We think the left-footed attacker will be a game-changer coming from the bench.
There has been reports that Hearts want to bring Bechem United striker Hafiz Kokoni to compliment their attack, now Kojo Obeng Jr, Danjuma Kuti, Abednego Tetteh and youngster Isaac Mensah are the strikers available for selection, however, we think Abednego will get the nod ahead of the rest to complete our first eleven.
Below are the pictorial line-up and formation that we think Hearts will deploy when the league starts.
