Ex Ghanaian International, Derek Boateng, has advised fellow compatriot Thomas Partey to consider joining a Champions League club over north London giant Arsenal due to a possible absence from Europe’s flagship competition.
According to the former Fulham and Getafe midfielder, Boateng, despite Arsenal been the front-liners for the signature of the Atletico Madrid talisman; he should opt for a possible Champions league club since he [Thomas Partey] is a top-notch Champions league player.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Joy FM’s Nathaniel Arthor; he counsel the Lojiblanco star not to lower his standard to unreadiness UCL team;
“Arsenal are playing very well but you can see the inexperience hurting…If (Partey) wants to move, he has to move to a team that plays in the Champions League or else he will lose everything,”
“I will not advise him to move to Arsenal right now because he is a Champions League player and with the look of the Arsenal team right now, they are not ready with the kind of players they have and some are going to move.”
Derek Boateng thus counsel; “He needs to be at a place where he will be happy, respected and get a lot of playing time. You can make all the money you want but if the coach doesn’t play you, you won’t be happy,” he advised.
