He said: “We’re just waiting to hear more on that, but he could be anything between six and 12 weeks. It’s an abductor which may have come off the bone.
“It’s quite a nasty injury, so we’re waiting to see if he needs an operation or not. If it’s an operation, thenhe’ll be at least 12 weeks.”
Amartey, who has had to deal with his own injury problems in recent seasons is finally back on the pitch and played 90 minutes against Arsenal yesterday though it’s been reported that the former Copenhagen star will leave the king power stadium this summer.
Nonetheless, Rogers has changed his mind and has asked Amartey to stay.
