Swimming Clubs in Ghana have been supported by it mother association, with Personal Protective Equipment(PPE’s) amid the global fight against the pandemic, Coronavirus.
The presentation was made at a brief ceremony in Accra on Thursday, June 2, 2020, 2020.
Clubs such as; Gh Dolphins,Torpedo Swimming Club, Gh Aquatics, Kumasi White Sharks, KNUST Dolphins, Marlins Swimming Club, Legon Sharks and Blue Fins Swimming Clubs are the beneficiaries that got aided by the Ghana Swimming Association,[GSA] as part of its efforts to curb the global canker.
The items presented are; Infrared Temperature Guns and 10 pieces of Hand Sanitizers among others.
After the presentation, the entourage team from the GSA noted that as President Akuffo Addo Dankwa gave the mandate for non contact sports to resume training, it was their responsibility to assist the spot, [swimming] that falls within the category to enhance their day to day trainings activities towards future competitions and championships.
In appreciation, representatives of the clubs expressed their gratitude to the Association for its kind gesture for supporting them in this new normal life and promised to appropraite used the items for the right purposes.
