The National Youth Employment Agency Boss , Justin Koduah, has revealed that his outfit is ready to support athletes including football players for the next six months.
Following the covid-19 downturn, Sports in the country has been hit very hard which has neccesitated stakeholders to engage the Government to solicit for help for its members
During the early stages of the Presidential encounter to Ghanaians by the President, Nana Addo revealed that an amount of funds have been made available for small and medium scale Enterprises with sports not included
Speaking on the matter Koduah said there is a discussion ongoing with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), to find a way to help the clubs but it is the National Sports Authority who will decide the allocations of the support to the athletes.
“The National Youth Employment Agency will support athletes for the next six months”, Koduah told fox fm
Mr Koduah believes this initiative will help ease pressure on athletes and sports in general amidst COVID-19.
