Asante Kotoko sporting club has arrived in Ghana after their champions league first leg game against Mauritania champions Football Club Nouadhbou at the Stade Olympique (Nouakchott) on Sunday afternoon.
The whole contingent landed in Ghana at midday.
The keenly contested game saw the visitors take an early lead through Osman Ibrahim in the 9th minute but the host responded on the 22nd minute through Hemeya Tanjy from the spot.
The game ended 1-1 making the Kumasi-based club in pole position to qualify to the next round of the qualification phase.
Maxwell Konadu and men will turn attention quickly to next week’s return leg which might be played at Aliu Mahama sports
The stadium in Tamale after the management of Kotoko wrote to Ghana FA to consider them change their home grounds from Accra Sports stadium.
