Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks have recorded coronavirus cases on Saturday morning putting their game crunch derby game against Ebusua Dwarfs.
The sharks took to their social media handles to make the announcement which read:
“COVID – 19 ALERT
“We can confirm that some of our players have tested positive for COVID 19.
“They have since been isolated and responding to treatment.
We wish them well & look forward to them joining us stronger.”
Aduana Stars and Hearts of the oak game have been postponed due to some of the Phobians players and officials contracting the virus.
Hearts played a friendly match last week with Elmina Sharks and announced that their officials and players including Abednego Tetteh had tested positive for the virus.
