Ghanaian International Dede Ayew scored his 16th league goal of the season as his team Swansea City drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest in a dramatic game this evening.
Knowing, a win could take them into the playoffs, the Swans started on the front foot and got the deserving lead through England International Rhian Brewster in the 8th minute after he hit the ball with his left foot from the left side of the box into the top left corner.
Forest responded 16 minutes later through Sammy Ameobi when the former Newcastle United right footed shot from the outside the 18 yard box into the top right corner.
Just a minute before the break, Ayew drew a foul in the penalty area and rightfully the center man pointed to the spot, the Ghanaian took the responsibility and calmly placed the ball with his left foot into the bottom left corner to put the score at 2-1 and held on into the break.
The host pushed for the equalizer and finally got it in the 55th minute in the same fashion as the first, Sammy Ameobi hit the ball with his left foot into the bottom right corner.
Both sides couldn’t utilized the chances that fell their way as the game ended 2-2.
The result means Swansea is now 8th with 64 points, 3points off the playoff zone.
