Ex-Asante kotoko Coach Bashir Hayford has revealed his intentions to re-join the club after resturning from Somalia
The Experience Gaffer managed the Porcupines to the 2007/2008 league title and says he has unfinished business with the royal club
“I have heard that Kotoko want to establish an Academy, and I will be the first person to apply to go and start it if they advertise it,” Bashir Hayford told Kotoko Express App.
“If there is also a Technical Director job and they are interested in me, I will do it.
“I don’t think (Coach) Maxwell Konadu working with me will be a problem. As for Johnson Smith, he has worked with me before as my Assistant so if I am becoming the Technical Director for them, I don’t have a problem.
“I will not be interfering with their job but to supervise and help them so we can achieve the common goal. So if the chance comes, I will grab it but won’t lobby. That is because I have the capacity and so always want my work to talk to for me. I have a master’s degree in administration and management so with this and my technical knowledge what can’t I manage?
” I know the love that the Kotoko People have for me, the love that the management and Asantehene (Otumfuo Osei Tutu II) have for me. I remember I paid him a visit when I was coaching AshGold and he told me that, he has given me out on loan. He said it very loud for all to hear, emphasising, that the two clubs belong to him and that he can come for me at any time. He applauded me for I have been able to achieve so for me I have unfinished business with Kotoko.”
