Asante Kotoko reported move for Ugandan striker Stephen Mukwala has fallen through after the forward and the club couldn’t find an agreement during negotiations.
The Kumasi-based club is in the transfer market looking for one more striker and after their talks with Mukwala hit a snag, they’ve now turned their attention to former Ashantigold sporting club striker Shafiu Mumumi who is a free agent.
According to Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM, The 21-year-old demanded for full payment of his enticement fee before penning a signature on the contract formhowever, the current Kotoko management since resuming office has abolished the payment of such fees hence the deal is off.
Kotoko will have to get Shafiu’s deal done before the transfer window shuts on 31st October 2020.
Ghana’s top-flight is scheduled to begin on November 13, 2020. Kotoko will play as hosts to Techiman Eleven Wonders.
