Leicester City beat José Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspurs by two goals to nil courtesy goals from Jamie Vardy at the brink of halftime and an own goal from Toby Alderweried in the second half.
Daniel Amartey came on as a replacement for the substitute Timothy Castagné who picked up a slight injury in the early stages of the second half.
The versatile defender player as a right back after taking the place of the substitute left back for the remaining 30 minutes of the game.
Amartey played his last game before today on the 4th of October, 2020 in a humiliating 3-0 defeat in the hands of West Ham United at the King Power Stadium.
The defender lasted for just 54 minutes on the field after picking up an injury and was replaced by Turkish international, Cengiz Under.
Amartey had been in a fine form before his untimely injury. Amartey featured for the foxes Manchester City and Arsenal.
Amartey is expected to start the foxes next games as there seem to be injury crises at the defense of Leicester City with injuries to Soyuncu, Ricardo Pereira and Timothy Castagné.
The win today moves the Foxes up second the English Premier League log as Tottenham Hotspurs drop to 4th and can go further down should Manchester United win today.
