Daniel Amartey has been left out of Leicester’s 25-man for the Europa League group stages.
The Ghanaian defender is one of the two notable players who has been cut out by boss Brenda Rogers, whose 25-man squad for the competition is only allowed to include 17 ‘non locally trained players’.
Amartey has started last two Premier League games, but was substituted with a hamstring injury during Sunday’s defeat to West Ham United.
Wilfred Ndidi who is nursing 4-6 weeks injury has been included
A squad of up to 25 is permitted, but four of those have to be club-trained players, of which City only have three in Harvey Barnes, Hamza Choudhury and Dewsbury-Hall.
As a result Rodgers can only name a 24-man squad for the competition, although it can be edited if the Foxes reach the knockout stage.
