Emmanuel Nettey has signed a contract with Duhok Sports Club in Iraq’s second division.
The 27-year-old signed a one-year contract with the club after his contract with Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak expired.
After signing an employment agreement and passing a required physical check, Nettey was unveiled on Thursday by his new team.
Following a season with Unistar Academy in the Division One League, the former Inter Allies midfielder joined Hearts of Oak in 2019. Last season, he was part of the Phobians’ team that won the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup.
Last season, the Phobians used him 17 times, with one goal.
Prior to his contract expiring at the end of December 2021, he made five appearances for the defending champions this season.
