The third match of the 2021-2022 Premier League has produced fantastic results, with Asante Kotoko going three games without a loss as pressure grows on defending Champions Hearts of Oak, with King Faisal having their greatest start of the season.

Great Olympics scored the game’s first goal and lone goal in the 20th minute through Max Abbey Quaye from close range, capping off a tightly contested first half. Legon Cities dominated the second half for the most part, and Asamoah Boateng and Abdul Rahman should have leveled the score in the closing 10 minutes. Abdul Rahman struck the post in added time after Asamoah Boateng missed an open header.
Elsewhere at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) park, Karela United fought back from a goal down to defeat Berekum Chelsea 2-1. Berekum Bright Amponsah gave Chelsea the lead in the seventh minute. Karela improved their game and equalized in the 31st minute thanks to a Bashiru Umar penalty kick. Gyan Fosu of Darlington gave the home team the lead and scored the winning goal in the 50th minute.
Bechem United overcame Elmina Sharks 2-0 to go back on track following a loss to Asante Kotoko last weekend. After a scoreless first 45 minutes, Obuoba Yaw Dasi scored for Bechem United in the 67th minute. After a fantastic effort by Augustine Okrah, Bechem United extended their lead in the 80th minute through Francis Twene.
At the Ohene Ayew Park, Eleven Wonders and Medeama drew 0-0. Ignatius Osei Fosu was returning to the club he had left a few months before. The game ended without a goal, but both teams had some dangerous attacks and hit the post.
Real Tamale United (RTU) earned their first win of the season by defeating WAFA 2-0. David Abagna’s spectacular shot in the 10th minute gave the Tamale-based club the lead. David Abagna scored his second of the day and fifth of the season in the 75th minute to double RTU’s lead.
