The Black Stars’ head coach, Milovan Rajevic, confessed that they were fortunate in some parts of their game against the warriors of Zimbabwe, despite the good football.
The Black Stars played Zimbabwe on Saturday at Cape Coast Stadium, and they humbled them 3-1 after the final whistle.
Ghana moved to 2nd with 6 points in Group G after their stellar performance, while Hugo Broos, Bafana Bafana, are still on top of the table with 7 points.
The boldness gaffer stated in a post-match conference that: “All in all, it was a good game after the result we had. We started the game well, but later in the match we had some problems, especially in the second half, when we conceded a goal, but I managed to identify some of the problems and to make the right substitutions, so we came back and won.
” We were lucky at some moments of the match, but the most important thing for us is that we got three points and our hard work has paid off, “he added.
Ghana will play Zimbabwe tomorrow in Harare on the road to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
