Ayew’s spokesperson, Fiifi Tackie, informed Ghanaians not to criticize Jordan Ayew’s goalscoring drought.
Jordan has not scored for Crystal Palace since November 2020 in 2,364 minutes of football.
The underfire striker has provided 4 assists in all competitions and ranked 9th for fouls won and 5th for pressures in the Premier League last season.
Despite his lack of confidence and loss of his goalscoring boots, the former Swansea City star has consistently played for club and country.
“Jordan Ayew is more of a team player than an individual player”, he told Happy FM.
“He doesn’t see anything wrong if he tries to assist rather than score. Assess Jordan Ayew by his contribution on the pitch. It is why Patrick Vieira will continue to use him. “
Jordan Ayew is part of the Black Stars squad that will play Zimbabwe in the doubleheader World Cup qualifiers this month.
