Ex- Asante Kotoko supporters’ chairman, Kwaku Amponsah has cautioned management not to make any attempt in bringing Gladson Awako to the club.
The experienced midfielder has not trained for weeks and has reportedly left camp due to spiritual reasons.
Hearts of Oak has confirmed their marquee signing who penned a $15000 deal a month ago has faced personal difficulties hence his unavailability.
Awako’s agent Yusif Chibsah also provided an uncertain update on the future of the player at the Accra-based club.
Reports in the local media have suggested that Kotoko are interested in bringing the former TP Mazembe midfielder to the club but Chairman Amponsah has warned that any move will be objected to fiercely
“I have heard some Kotoko board members want to bring Gladson Awako to the club. They should not try this on any day. We will not allow this to happen. He should play his Hearts of Oak and allow us to build our team.” He told Oyerepa FM.
