The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association is set to hold an emergency meeting tomorrow Wednesday July 6th,2021 at the Boardroom of the GFA Secretariat.
The Executive Council meeting has been scheduled to discuss recent matters arising from matches centres which as a result is deteriorating the beauty of the game.
Hooliganism at match venues have been a major issue over the footballing season this year and as result has infringed on the human rights of centre referee’s, football players and match officials.
Over the weekend two instant cases were recorded, one in the topflight league and the the other in the tier league (Divison One). Berekum Chelsea head coach Abdul Henan was beaten like a thief after game against Dreams FC in Dawu. Centre referee for clash between Real Tamale United and BA United had to flew for his life when fans leapfrog onto the field to attack him with stones and sticks after he awarded a penalty which was unfavourable to them.
The GFA is expected to release an official statement on the happenings tomorrow and the necessary measures of curbing these unfortunate happenings.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 11:00 am.
