“Prince of goals”, one of the prolific goalscorers in Ghana history, Prince Tagoe has advised that Hearts of Oak can only reclaim their place in Africa football and compete again unless they keep their current squad for a year and more.
The Accra-based club has not won any major trophy since 2009 but they are now a win away from winning this year’s Ghana Premier League
The former TSG Hoffenheim striker said Hearts have a great gaffer and formidable squad which can compete but rather need to play and know themselves as in the 2004/2005 season.
“If Hearts of Oak want to conquer Africa once again, they should keep their current players for the next one or two seasons,” he said on Angel TV.
Experienced striker, Prince was the top scorer of the 2005/06 Ghana Premier League season after netting 18 goals. Tagoe helped “The Rainbows colors” in the Ghana Premier league to emerge their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup in 2004.
