On the 7th of June 2021, Phar Rangers football club wrote a letter to Ghana football Association to withdraw from all competitions and its membership
Our investigations show after the letter, Ghana League Clubs Association leadership called the GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and told him to hold on and not take action on the letter, they were going to meet Phar Rangers to rescind their decision for peace to prevail,
Our checks show, Prosper gave GHALCA his word, by not taking the matter up
GHALCA then met Phar Rangers to talk about the matter and agreed that they should rescind their decision
However, on the 7th June 2021 evening, GFA released a statement to activate clauses on Phar Rangers
On 8th June 2021, GHALCA issued a letter of appeal on stay of action against Phar Rangers directed at the General Secretary assuring him of prompt action to engage its member Phar Rangers to rescind its decision
Rangers also wrote a letter to FA on the 9th of June 2021 to rescind their decision.
According to GHALCA chairman Kudjoe Fianoo, he called Prosper and was shocked to be told the matter has gone beyond him and there is nothing he can do, and that the matter had been referred to the Discipline Committee.
Speaking to Angel FM Accra, Fianoo expressed his disappointment over the ruling.
The GFA general secretary has disrespected GHALCA and made them look stupid in the eyes of the public.
