Enterprising football administrator Frederick Acheampong (Achee) has been elected as the new Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) Treasurer on Monday 15th March 2021.
Achee had 41 votes to the 22 votes that his competitor Elssifie Christopher gathered.
Incumbent President, Ben Nunoo Mensah had his mandate renewed for another 4 years. He polled 35 votes, whilst his opponent Mr Richard Akpokavie polled 28 votes.
The newly elected executives are expected to prepare Ghana for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics which is scheduled for this summer and the All African games in 2023 which will be hosted in Ghana.
