Ghana Premier League side Eleven wonders Bankroller Nana Ameyaw has stated his club is not the only club that is owing its players amid the covid-19 downturn.
It was widely reported that the Techiman-based club have not paid their players since October last year and after a bright start into the season, they are now faced with reality as their performance in the league in the last few games has dropped drastically
But according to the owner, it’s because of the covid-19 pandemic that has affected the team’s finances
“In this covid-19 time we are not the only club that owed players in Ghana, a team in the premier league owed their players for almost 8 months so why XI Wonders has been the topic in the media.” – Nana Ameyaw told Atinka FM.
“I have provided accommodation for the players very close to their training centre with water and food at least I’m doing my best for them” He added.
Wonders have won only two matches in their last seven games and currently 14th on the league log.
