Ghana Premier League side Medeama have recalled striker Prince Opoku Agyemang from a loan spell at South African top-flight side Cape Town City FC to ease their goalscoring problems
Agyemang joined the Citizens on an initial one-year loan deal back in October 2020 but has been recalled as an emergency parachute after four months.
The ambitious Ghanaian side have struggled largely infront of goal since the start of the season in the absence of the proven goal scorer.
According to GHANAsoccernet.com the Mauve and Yellows have reached an agreement with Cape Town City FC for the mutual parting of ways for the striker to stage a return to the Ghanaian domestic league
The return of the “Prince of goals” will delight Medeama coach Samuel Boadu as he has been forced to rely only on Abass Mohammed.
Agyemang is expected to form a deadly partnership with Burkina Faso international Amed Toure – who has been brought in as emergency signing following the side’s struggles at the start of the season.
Medeama – two-time champions of the coveted FA Cup, have parted ways with striker Abdul Basit Adam -who was signed as a replacement for Opoku Agyemang.
The Black Stars B striker was instrumental for Medeama in the Ghana Premier League last season where he netted 11 goals in 14 appearances.
