Asante Kotoko hosted Legon cities at the Accra sports stadium on Friday evening in their matchday five(5) fixture.
Both teams went into the game seeking for their first win of the season. The Porcupine warriors started on the front foot and got an early and deserving lead though Osman Ibrahim on the 10th minute following a descent delivery from Patrick Asmah.
Early substitutions to Osman, Adom Frimpong and Emmanuel Keyekeh because of injuries disrupted what seem to be an exciting game from the home side.
The second half started with the visitors creating some decent chances but Raphael Ocloo who was at the end of these changes couldn’t take one.
Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan came on but couldn’t help his side from losing the game.
Maxwell Konadu has not been lucky with injuries so far but will hope his key players will be available for their midweek game against in-form Great Olympics.
The results take Kotoko to 4th on the league log with 5 points.
Whereas the Royals sits at 14th with 3 points.
