The Ghana Premier league entered into week two with Techiman Eleven wonders hosting Cape coast based Ebusua Dwarf in the first round of games for this week at the Nana Ameyaw Park on Friday afternoon.
All eyes were on Wonders after they unsettled Asante Kotoko in the week one match which saw them scored late to deny the Porcupines all the three points.
Of course, they responded to the pressure by scoring in both halves to defeat Dwarfs by 2-0.
The game started with the host showing early signs of wanting to win, their effort was rewarded after Ibrahim Issa failed to deal with a shot from Felix Akorlor with the rebound hitting the hand of Prince Kpodo in the 18-yard box with the centre referee pointing to the spot.
Mohammed Tetteh Nortey stepped up to place the ball at the wrong side of the goalkeeper to put the host on 1-0 lead before the break.
On the 70’ minute George Asamoah of Ebusua Dwarfs got his second yellow card of the game letting his side to play the remaining 20 minutes with 10 men.
Dwarfs held the host for almost the rest of the time but Prince Okraku again came from the bench to score on the 90 minute to seal the win for his side.
The results mean the Techiman-based team are second on the league log with 4 points.
While Dwarfs are 14th with 1 point.
