Crystal Palace and Ghana Striker, Jordan Ayew, has confirmed testing positive for coronavirus and promised to recover as soon as possible to get back on the field.
The 29-year-old forward tested positive Friday upon his return from international duty. Fellow Ghanaian Bernard Mensah, who plays for Besiktas, also tested positive when he returned to Turkey after the break.
Ayew was absent from the Palace squad as they drew 1-1 with rivals, Brighton, Alexis Mac Allister scoring a late leveller. Palace did not manage a shot on target in open play, with their goal coming from the penalty spot.
Jordan took to his social media handles and posted.
“Sadly, I have tested positive for Covid-19 and have begun my quarantine in line with health guidance.
Thankfully, I am feeling fine and do not have any symptoms🙏🏾
I will be cheering the boys on from home and look forward to being back on the pitch soon💪🏽🔴🔵
