The 22-year-old scored two goals in 10 minutes in the first half in Ankaragucu 5-3 away lost to Caykur Rizespor after leading the first half by 3-2 in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday morning.
The away side started the game in a lovely fashion and got their deserving lead in the 6th minute through Joseph Paintsil who converted a cross from Saba Lobzhanidze with his right foot from the centre of the opposition area into the top right corner to put the score at 1-0 lead.
The Ghanaian international doubled his team’s lead 10 minutes later, this time heading a loose ball from a close range into the empty net to get his second of the game.
The host responded in the 19th minute with a goal through Fernando Dos Santos to put the score at 2-1.
Ankaragucurestored their two-goal lead on the 43rd minute where Torgeir Borven headed a cross from Tiago Pinto from the centre of the box into the bottom right corner.
A minute from the break the host scored their second goal of the game after Fernando Boldrin beautiful left-footed free-kick beat the wall into the bottom right corner to put the score at 3-2.
Alper Potuk received his marching orders after the centre referee Abdul Kadir Bitigen flashed the second yellow card to the Ankaragucu midfielder just before the break.
Just 10 minutes into the second half, former Chelsea striker Loic Remy took over and scored an impressive hat trick to complete turned the tide into his team’s favour.
The game ended 5-3 in favour of Rizespor.
Paintsil and his countryman Godfred Donsah played the first 45 minutes.
The results leave Ankaragucu with 1 point after 4 games and languishing second to the bottom. While Rizespor is 13th on the table with 5 points in 4 games.
