An Audio has surfaced on the internet where Ghana striker Asamoah and Baffour Gyanwere heard verbally and physically attacking a playing opponent On Thursday morning.
Godwin Martey who is the Chief executive officer for web soft solutions has alleged that the two brothers assaulted him during a tennis match at the 37 Army Officer’s Mess tennis court on Wednesday.
Martey said the game took a bitter turn when the Umpire who is Baffour started making certain calls to his brother’s advantage.
“Most of these controversial points that were in my favour, Baffour Gyan was giving the point to Asamoah Gyan. At a point, I became a bit uncomfortable with it.
“So there was a particular point that to me was obvious that the ball was good, and Baffour Gyan insisted that the point was for Asamoah Gyan.”
Amartey said he felt intimidated when he was shouted at by Baffour and peacefully requested that a new tournament with new match commissioner and neutral umpire should be arranged before he facesAsamoah again and left Court.
He said upon making such a request Baffour came towards him and slapped him without retaliation
In the Audio, Amartey is heard to have complained the attack to the former Black stars captain who angrily replied that he deserves the slaps and followed it up with unpleasant language.

Baffour in response to the allegation of assaults said nobody hit Martey as been reported
”I and Asamoah Gyan didn’t throw our hands-on Godwin Martey. It was just an exchange of words. The tempers were higher so some of the words we’re harsh and I apologize for that but we didn’t fight him physically. How can we fight at the soldier’s premises?”-Baffour Told Pure Fm.
The Ghana international is gradually gaining notoriety of attacking people including a journalist in the past
Halftimegh.com understand Martey has reported the case to the Police and it will be interesting to see how things will turn out because the said individuals went unpunished the last time they attacked a journalist in Kumasi.
