The eight-man shortlist for the Premier League’s EA Sports Player of the Month award for September have been revealed, with five English players making the shortlist.
There is no surprise to see Everton’s duo of James Rodriguez and certified goal machine Dominic Calvert-Lewin getting nods, while Leicester is the other top-flight club who’ve got two members in the shortlist.
The 18-year-old enterprising defender has been a delight to watch in the premier league for Brighton and Hove Albion this season and has also been described as a defender with no limit by BBC will go toe-to-toe with the aforementioned for the award.
Lamptey has featured for his side in the last three premier league games winning two assists for Brighton.
The England youth international who is yet to represent the Three Lions have been contacted by Ghana FA to switch his allegiance and play for the Black Stars.
The tiring defender hasn’t made a decision yet on his international career but Ghana is hopeful of getting him.
