Fifteen matches into the season, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo through presidential degree suspended all sporting activities on 15th March 2020 amidst covid-19 pandemic
After what seems to be an easy on restrictions in the country, non-contact sports such as golf, tennis etc. have been given green light to resume by the President. Since the fate of the football leagues are unknown stakeholders have shared their opinions, others say the leagues should be allowed to continued others believe the league should be canceled.
The latest person to speak about the issue is Dr Nsiah-Asare, one of the advisors of the President of Ghana on Coronavirus pandemic has said, the leagues should be truncated
“I personally feel the league should be canceled”-Nsiah-Asare told Fox fm
If only GFA will listen to my advice, I will say it will be fair to end this season and begin a new one.” He concluded.
Ghana Football Association is expected to communicate the final decision on the leagues after the Executive council meet on 30th June 2020.
